The Trapper

During this last Sunday morning the Lord shared this with me. “Beware of the trapper. He has laid out his traps before you. He’s looking to get your soul. He’s looking to get your life. He doesn’t want you to have the life you do in Christ Jesus. Stay close to me and I will guide you around these traps. For the path is narrow. I’m the only one who know’s the complete path. I’ve seen it all. Come to me and get prepared. Follow me down this path. I know where it leads. Do this and the traps will be useless.”

Then I was shown a vision of a metal trap of a trapper. It was larger and rusty. It is clear that the trapper is the devil. He’s going after those he does not have. This is you and I who are of Christ Jesus. I believe this warning comes as a reminder that the end is near. Jesus’ second coming is close. This path we follow is narrow. If it wasn’t, anyone could go there without any challenge. One way to look at it is this path is just big enough for two people. Ourselves and Jesus. He said in his word that He would not leave us or forsake us. We can’t do this alone. After all, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Isn’t our goal is to be with Jesus in Heaven. Where we will have a life with Him. There is no other way to get to Heaven than through Jesus. So, why not let Him guide us down this path where the traps of the enemy will be useless. The only way they can affect us is if we stray away from the path. We get distracted and start looking elsewhere for what we want. Thinking its what we need. When in reality its just something else that we put between Jesus and ourselves. If we keep this up, the place between the two of us gets cluttered. Then it becomes a wall that we can’t see around. We try to knock it down, but it is futile. But it’s still not too late. Just cry out to Jesus. Repent of your wrong doing and ask for His forgiveness. Bring Him back into your heart and start a new life with Him. If you had one before then renew your life.

The vision of the trap is simple to grasp. It shows us that his traps are not new. They are the same old things he has used in the past. And no amount of padding and insulation will do any good. You can have the most padded and protective boot, but it is not going to help. Even if it doesn’t seem to hurt, it still does. And the fact remains that you are still caught in his trap. Cry out to Jesus. He’s the only answer.

Stepping Out

This posting isn’t going to be in the usual line of teaching or prophecy. This is a calling out or a stepping out. Lately as I have been spending time in prayer I continue to have one recurring theme. That is the future and present times of this region. As a resident of Pleasant Prairie WI I want to see a spiritual change here. One that changes the culture of this village and that of Kenosha. Where the body of Christ (yes singular body not divisional) comes together to glorify God and effect this change as only God can.

One other recurring theme is the desire to effect this same kind of change in Zion. A town founded by one of God’s modern prophets. Where the roads are given names from the Bible. Lost in this is its history. A history of healing’s and miracles taking place. People being trained and prepared to go out in the world and make a difference for Jesus Christ and the Kingdom at hand.

Back in 2001 I had a revelation or vision or even a thought. Call it whatever you want, but it came from God. He showed me in Revelation 22:1-2 this region. ” Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.” This river flowed through this area between Milwaukee and Chicago. The tree has a split trunk. One part of it is in Milwaukee and the other part is in Chicago.

I say this to let you know where I am going with this. I’m looking for people to join me changing this region. We have an area that has either lost its passion or just misplaced it. A passion for Jesus Christ. A passion for the Holy Spirit to flow and be present. Not just talked about or remembered. This world we live in is changing rapidly. There is no middle ground any longer (as if there was any in the first place). You either are or you aren’t. The world is trying to separate us from them. So is God. Remember the parable of the weeds. Where the weeds grew along side of the wheat. And at the harvest the weeds were collected first and burned. Then the wheat was collected and put into the barn. We need to effect this change. Jesus is only answer. He sits at God’s right hand and intercedes for us daily. Lets go to Him and ask. Not just for this change, but what do I need to do. As a willing servant. As one who wants to be obedient to what God asks of us. This won’t be easy. Persecution is sure to come. But if it were easy everyone would be doing it. And this world would be in a different place already. One outcome of this will be revival both personal and corporately.

All you need is Me

As I sit this morning I’m going through some of what God has given me lately. The first one I see is this word from the Lord. Its about a month old, but still good for today. So here it is. “My breath is life. My words are nourishing and true. They bring life to the soul. The fatherless are not forsaken. I am their Father. Therefore they are not without. How long will you walk in silence? How long will you walk alone? Turn to me and never be alone again.I have not forsaken you. You are precious and beautiful in my sight. And my sight is perfect. Remember that when they speak their lies to you. No other name but mine has authority. All they have is what I have given them. All they have is what I let them have. My name is precious. All you need is me.”

These words are for both the lost and for those who are in need of encouragement. In this world today the devil has an abundant amount of lies going on. Attacking both the saved and those aren’t. The first part of the prophecy is about what God is offering us. He is life. His words are true and do give us nourishment. They are exactly what we need. nothing can be as filling as His word. With that He addresses the lost. So often they feel alone and not belonging to anyone or even a family. Yet He says that they are not without Him. He told the Israelites that He is their God. Today He tells us that He is our Father. Making it even more personal. In Luke 15:1-7 Jesus tells the story of the lost sheep. He cares enough about the one that He left the many and went after the single one.

After this section He reminds us whose view is important. His is the only one that matters. Don’t let this get to heads to the point of putting ourselves above others. Just don’t forget the He has a better understanding and outlook then we do. We need to keep this in mind. Then He tells us the truth about the others who say things differently than He does. What they say and have is nothing compared to Him. After all they only have what God lets them have. We are His creation. Not the devils. This ends with the reminder that all we need is Him. God fulfills every need we have. Just let Him. Let us draw closer to Him today and give Him a chance to do it.

1st. Place 2nd. Place

Today I received a word from the Lord. He was talking about places. It started by saying the “I has prepared a place for you.”This was followed by “have you prepared a place for me?” What a thought. Have we prepared a place for him. This place is in our heart. He wants to dwell in us. Not just be an after thought. He is not one to force himself on people. He won’t go where He is not welcome. He  went on to say that this place was not within the four walls of the church. Though He said that it is in the room. Meaning that He wants to be in us.

The next part of the prophecy was a call to Himself. Saying we are to come closer to Him. By doing this we will receive exactly what we need to prepare an open heart for Him to dwell in. Which reminds me of some of my thoughts before church. These were of the failings of the “American” church service. And to bring about a change in the way they are happening. Both conclusions have the same answer. Draw closer to Jesus and let Him make the changes. This though is a topic for another day. When we draw closer to Him we will be changed. For the better, even if it doesn’t seem that way at the time.

The prophecy ended with a question. Are we preparing a place for Him? Are we? How willing am I to go to what lengths to have a place for Him? What keeps me from going there? Some of the answers are fear of change. Fear of being branded as a lunatic. Or is it some other reason. It doesn’t matter. Jesus overcame them all for us. So that we can come to Him. So that we can have that special relationship with Him. So that we can be in His presence. I willing are you?

2 Tables 1 Choice

This last Sunday the Lord gave me a message for the body. It was about eating at the right table. I’ll go over some points of it. But to quote it totally will not happen today. Simply put, I said it rather quickly after receiving it. When this happens I don’t quite remember exactly how it is worded. I did what I could to recall it, but it is not complete.  What I did remember I’ll talk about.

It did start out by saying the deliverance is at hand. The Lord said that He will break the binds, break the yoke and smash the chains. This alone gives us the hope of His true freedom and victory. There is no other authority that has His power, grace and strength to get this done. No other name but Jesus.  To go further we have read the stories of Jesus setting people free from demons and the like. Matt. 8:28-34 is the story of the demons into a herd of pigs. Mark 9:14-29 is the story of a demon possessed boy. But demons aren’t the only things that take hold of a person. It could be stealing, cheating, adultery, pornography as well as depression, worry, fear and others.Try as we may to do it ourselves. We just can’t do it by ourselves. We need help and Jesus is the answer. Phil. 4:13 says that “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”

After that the Lord said that some of us are eating at the wrong table. We are to walk away from it and go back to His table. The table with the living water. Eating of the loaf of bread. John 6:35-40 tells us this from the words of our Lord Himself. When we listen to the world and all of its ways, we are eating from the wrong table. Saying that God’s word and truths aren’t for us. They’re not for today. They’re old and don’t apply today. What a load of garbage that is. God’s word and truths are for today and tomorrow. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Lets spend our time at his table. By reading His word. Taking the time to pray ( have a conversation) with Him. Spending time in His presence. Being among the body (church) and having fellowship. Lets build each other up and encourage one another. Let’s eat at the table thats best for us.The table Jesus has set up personally.

Painting 2 Pictures

On this last Sunday the Lord gave me a message to share. So without further ado here it is. “My children I’m going to paint two pictures for you. The first is of a rose growing up among the thorns and thistles. This rose overcame all to rise above them. The second is of a lily in the field. A single lily in the vast field. Did I abandon this lily? Did I make a mistake? Instead ask this question. How come there aren’t any more? There are more, they just haven’t grown up yet. This lily is a beautiful thing.  Put in its place for a reason. I’ve planted seeds, but who is watering them? Do not say this is not for you. Do not think that you must be among and endure the thorns and thistles. They have been conquered. I need, I want lilies in the field. For this is a beautiful thing.”

In the first picture the rose is a symbol of our savior Jesus Christ. Who endured beatings, mocking, spitting, and more for us. Even going to the cross to die for our sins. He has risen and is seated next to God the Father. The thorns and thistles are symbolic of the curse of the earth (see Gen. 3:18). Jesus wore a crown of thorns. Once again overcoming it on the cross.

The second picture is of a lily. The lily is symbolic of beauty and splendor. Go to Matt. 6:28-29 to read about the splendor of lilies. When you go to Song of Solomon 2:1 you will find another example of these pictures. So in this prophecy God is asking us to go out and water (share and talk to) those who haven’t received Jesus as their savior. A people make Jesus their Lord and Savior, Lilies will grow and populate the field. He also adds a message of hope to this. When He tells us not to think that we have to suffer first to become worthy of sharing His message. He conquered it all so we don’t have to. These lilies are a beautiful thing. Lets get out and water some seeds.

Fan the Flames

During church this morning I was given a word to share. The Lord told me to “fan the flames.”As I was listening to Him more of His message came to me. He went on to say “there are some who have grown cold toward me. You my children are all that stand between them and destruction. But, how can you share the warmth of my love when you don’t have any yourself. Being lukewarm is no answer. Its barely an existence. You need to fan the flames of my Spirit in your life. I give them to you so that you may share and continue to come to me and receive more. The times are growing cold and you are all that stands between them and death. Come to me. I will give you all you need to carry my light and fire into their lives.”

In these latter times many are getting cold toward God. It is mentioned in the bible that this would happen. It doesn’t mean that God has given up on people. God wants us to share His love to this lost and dieing world. If its growing cold we need to ask why and the answer is simple. We haven’t been sharing the gospel of Jesus to them. Why not is the first thought and He told us why not. Its because we haven’t been spending the time we need to have with Him. We are not working on our relationship. Some of us are getting cold and then some are lukewarm. Neither is any good.

Its a new year and lets start out by drawing closer to God this year. He wants to have a relationship with us. So what are we afraid of? The only way to get change into this world is to be willing to change ourselves. then we will be prepared to share His Love to this people. We are His messengers and we are not fully ready to carry this out. Remember that God will not force himself on people it needs to be a choice of weather or not people follow him. All we can do is show them the door. But are we walking the path that leads them to the door?

Back to the Basics

On Sunday I gave a word from the Lord to the congregation. I will give you what I can remember as best as I can. This is not going to be exactly word for word. I don’t always remember it exactly, because I try to say it as soon as possible as to not think about it and therefore interject myself into it. It started with a call back to the basics. Love the lord your God and to love your neighbor as Christ loved the church. This is a mix of two  scriptures. First its love your neighbor as yourself (Matt.22:39) and husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church (Eph.5:25). I believe it was put this way to show how important it is.

Another part was the fact that there is a darkness covering the earth. We are living in perilous time. It must come so that God’s glory can shine. He is our only hope. There is no other answer. It continued with a call for the separation of the “wheat from the tare” (Matt.13:24-30). Are you a weed (tare) or are you the wheat ready for harvest? The answer is in your relationship with Jesus. If you have one and are a child of the only true living God, then you are the wheat. Otherwise you need to get right with God and receive Jesus into your heart and ask for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will be on your way to a great adventure the results in your going to heaven when its time.

There was more about His love, His glory, His truths. Notice this is not about what man thinks. Its about Him and Him alone. Take the time now to get closer to Him. You won’t ever regret it.

The River Pt. 2

In this second part we are going to see how the river affects the area’s around it. When you read the first six verses you find out that he was lead to the river. Now we see in the latter part of verse six that he is lead back to the river bank. One question that comes from this is are we willing to be lead by God?  If not then what is in our way? Is it arrogance, pride, doubt, fear, or something else. We need to follow Ezekiel’s example and just do it.

After this verses 7-12 give a description of what happens when the river flows. First he sees a great number of trees. Trees are often a symbol of life. Then it talks about it going to the “Sea” and emptying into it. Here it is talking about the Salt Sea or refered to as the Dead Sea. Making the water there fresh. Giving it life. This fresh water attracts living creatures and fish because it brings life wherever it flows. How great of an example of God do we need? Our God is life. He brings it everywhere. The next part mentions fisherman casting their nets into the river. Why? Food could be a reason. Jesus said that he is the living water and bread of life. The loaf of bread we need daily. Are we getting all we need from the river? Verse 11 then says that the salt goes to the swamps and marshes. This salt represents sin. Remember that sin is basically anti-life. After this it says  that fruit trees grow along the banks of the river. Bringing fruit evry month. This fruit is for food and the leaves of the tree are for healing.

In Rev.22:1-2 we have another mention of the river. Talking about much of the same thing. So, are we willing to go to and into the river? Pray about it and let God show you the River.

The Cross

Its been some time since I posted last. Today in church we had a guest speaker. A missionary to the Muslim world. As the service got started I received a word. This word came very quickly and will be difficult to repeat accurately, but I will give the best rendition I can.

The Lord mentioned that his children have crossed the mountains, crossed the valleys, and crossed the river on dry ground. Some have failed at doing this. So He said to pick up his cross and carry it. But we will have a hard time with chains and binds on our hands. These chains and binds make it hard to do this. We need to get rid of these. How can we carry the cross with our hands bound. The lord said that He wants us to get His word out to the people who haven’t heard it. Time is running short. All this needs to get done, but how with binds and chains on.

Afterword there was time at the alter and some people getting prayed for there and at their seats. It was wonderful seeing God move among His children. I do believe people were set free today. Then we continued with the service and our guest speaker. He fielded questions from the congregation.  giving us information that many of us didn’t know. He brought back to us a couple of points from the prophecy about the mountains and valleys. These were related to mountains of hatred and valleys of fear. These are binds and chains that hinder us from carrying His cross. This was in relation to the Muslim people. How much more to our neighbors? What are our binds and chains? What are we carrying instead of the CROSS? Hatred shouldn’t be any where in our thoughts. Even though all of us think that at times. Remember ” God so LOVED the world.” If its fear, then we are lacking faith. God does not promote fear. What ever keeps us from carrying the cross needs to get dumped. Let it go. Its not always easy, but God makes a way for us. Pray and spend time with Him. He is the only answer.  Lets find a way to pick up His cross and carry it.

Be blessed, Ken
