Expectation, Peace and Serenity

Hello everyone, I have some more thoughts and a word that just may go with the last post. The last word was given to me just shortly before I shared it. This one came to me back on March 30, 2025. It’s interesting how our Lord works. It also shows that He has been sending words in the same area for some time now. o, here is the word from then. Expectation, peace, and serenity. What are your expectations? Do they line up with what I have for you? Do you have the peace that passes all understanding? If not, what keeps you from being there?

After this word I looked up the definition of “serenity.” It means; a state of freedom from storm or disturbance. I could not tell you what I thought back then. But now, Its like wow. Part of my reasoning is that I don’t use words like tempest or serenity. They are not in my normal vocabulary.

As I was thinking about this I heard the Lord say;”If you have the first two in accordance to Me and My ways then the third is where you will find yourself.” Bringing us back to the beginning. What are your expectations and do you have peace? Expectation means; anticipation, assurance. Does this mean that we are waiting for the enemy (devil) to get a swift kick in the pants? Are we assured that this will happen? Is our expectation to handle this coming storm and not be wavered. Or even to come out of it alright? How about further ahead and closer to Him.

Peace, this is a good question. Do we have the peace that says we are doing all that we can as a child of the Lord? Are we being obedient? And in this do we have faith enough to move forward knowing that this stuff can happen at anytime? Do we trust God to take care of us throughout the storm?

Psalm 107:28-30 talks about our Lord hearing our cry for help in the time of trouble. Quieting the storms and stilling the waves. How we are glad because of Him as He guides us to our haven.

Psalm 89:9 states; “you rule the raging sea; when its waves rise, You still them.” This once again tells us that our Lord is in control. So, do our expectations line up with Him and His ways? Can peace be found and a place for us to dwell?

When we say yes to these we can be found in serenity. How do we know? Simply know that our Lord has our life, walk, all of who we are. We cannot do anything without Him.

With the coming storm we need to be grounded in His word. Praying must become a standard part of our lives. Listening and obeying are to be developed with care. In the Proverbs it talks of gaining wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. These are not multiple choice questions. They are what we need to be doing.

Thank you for reading and please share this with someone.

The Tempest

This Last Sunday while at church I heard from our Lord the word “Tempest.” So, I looked it up at Merriam-Webster.com and one of the definitions was “violent storm.” As I pressed in I was given this. “The tempest is coming to America. Blowing away all that we know. The time is now to prepare for this onslaught. Make My Church ready. Then comes the cleansing flood. The streets will be swept clean. No longer to be the usual. I’m taking back the land and making it ready for My people.”

After getting this word, I asked why, what does this mean? He told me that we listen the last time. Immediately I thought of the pandemic. At that time I distinctly heard that it was not going to be church as usual. So, what did the church do? It moved toward getting back to where it was before. Not taking the time to seek our Lord for direction. Just going with what we thought was best.

People, now is the time to get into a real relationship with Jesus. We need to be trees planted by the River that flows from the Throne. Eze.47 gives us a good picture of this. Trees deeply planted in the soil. His word, His presence and praying continually. Jesus knows us, but do we really know Him? Don’t think that He can’t/ won’t do it. In Eze17:22-24 read about what God will do to the trees. Among other things He will make the dry tree flourish. This is a good section of scripture to read. I personally like the symbolism here. Also we can go to Hosea 10:12 and read about breaking up the unplowed ground and making it ready.

This is why we need to be ready for what is to come. Being strongly planted in Him will keep us from getting washed away. Weathering out the storm and flooding that comes.

Oh, and by the way. When I shared this with a good friend he has had very similar “feelings” of what is to come. Just not knowing when. This is why we can’t waste a moment of now. We need to get going right away.

Be blessed, Ken
